Abstract
This article aims to analyze the impacts of the enforcement of the Computer-Related Crime Act B.E. 2560 (2017), a key legal mechanism for regulating cyber threats such as the dissemination of false information, fake news, and online fraud. While the law enhances cybersecurity, certain provisions and their vague interpretations have raised concerns regarding freedom of expression, misuse for political purposes, and violations of individual privacy. The study proposes balanced enforcement grounded in human rights principles, the rule of law, and public participation. Policy recommendations include clarifying ambiguous legal language, promoting transparency, and establishing independent oversight mechanisms. These measures are essential to ensure that the law is enforced effectively without infringing upon civil liberties in a democratic society.
