The Food Safety Model of Community Supported Agriculture in Central Thailand

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to study the situation of food safety community of community supported agriculture and to develop the model of the food safety community. Using mixed methodology, the researcher integrated qualitative and quantitative approaches in the research. The results revealed that the situation of food safety community of community supported agriculture in central part of Thailand caused by the collaboration of producers and consumers with the same objectives including organic farming, community activities encouraging collaboration and learning in community benefited for them. In addition, developing the model of the food safety community with system approach (input, process, and output) resulted from 1) factors and conditions 2) producers 3) consumers 4) a basis of organizing community activities 5) a conse-quence of collaboration. The model was assessed by connoisseurs.
