Impacts of Globalization and the State Affecting to Thai Fishery Capitalist Development in the Eastern Region.

Abstract

This article has an objective To study the impact of globalization and the state's role on the development of Thai fishing capitalism. Including recommendations for building sustainability of Thai fisheries in the eastern region Using a qualitative research method, Marxis's political economy approach, interdisciplinary approach. This is a case-based research in 3 fishing communities in the eastern region. From the research results, it was found that the impact of the development of Thai fishery capitalism in the eastern region, both economic, social, political, administrative and cultural, arising from globalization, such as the United States and the European Union, had an influence on aquaculture trade and dominated international economic activities. Thai state Therefore, the role of the Thai state has been adjusted from the limited development state to the limited role state. Lead to strict fishing legislation And are rigorously regulated to comply with EU policy. Suggestions for overall sustainability in the Eastern region include participation of fishermen in amending fair laws. Remedies, the illegal fishermen were prosecuted with intent. And participation in fishery resource management by communities, etc.
