Evaluation of the New Civil Servant Training Project of Cooperative Promotion Department

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to 1) study personal factors of the trainees and supervisors who attended the new civil servant training project of Cooperative Promotion Department, 2) evaluate the results of the new civil servant training project of Cooperative Promotion Department, and 3) suggest problems regarding the new civil servant training project of Cooperative Promotion Department.
This research was a survey research. The population in this study included 111 new civil servants of the cooperative promotion department of the 17th cohort and 111 supervisors who passed the training. Tool used in this study was questionnaires. Data were analyzed by using statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.
The results of the research found out that 1) 72.9% of new civil servants who passed the training were female, 68.8% were single, 78.1% graduated with bachelor degree with 47.90% held the degree in business management. Regarding the supervisors, most of them were male. 53.9% had the age between 56-60 years old, 38.2% were married with the level education of the bachelor degree in business management. They held the position of group director/department chief with the working experience of more than 10 years. 2) The evaluation of the training for the new civil servant in regards to the context of input factor, process, and productivity, overall, the evaluation level was at the high level in every aspect in both the trainees and the supervisors with the mean of 4.04 and 4.28. The supervisors evaluated at the higher level than the trainees in every aspect. 3) Problem regarding the training was the insufficient period of time in organizing the project. There should be the increase of content in cooperative extension and knowledge in cooperative academic principle and should add more practice in order to for them to be able to adopt into real life practice.
