Updated Author Guidelines & Call for Papers
Posted on 2025-12-25The Asian Journal of Applied Economics (AJAE) announces an update to its Author Guidelines, effective for new submissions from December 25, 2025.
To enhance international accessibility and ensure consistency with global academic publishing standards, AJAE has refined its manuscript preparation requirements. In particular, Thai-language manuscripts are now required to include a single extended abstract in English (approximately 800 words), which serves as the sole abstract and must accurately reflect the content of the main manuscript. Updated formatting and language requirements have also been introduced. Authors are kindly requested to consult the revised Author Guidelines and official manuscript templates available on the journal website.
At the same time, AJAE invites submissions for upcoming issues. The journal welcomes high-quality empirical and policy-oriented research in applied economics, with a particular focus on Asia and related economies. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, macroeconomics, development and inequality, international trade and finance, labor and human capital, sectoral and resource economics, and public policy analysis.
AJAE is a fully open-access journal with no submission or publication fees. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
We welcome contributions from researchers, policymakers, and practitioners and look forward to receiving your submissions.
