การแยกองค์ประกอบการใช้พลังงานของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย

บทคัดย่อ

การใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของไทยเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2529 ถึง 2549 โดยเฉพาะในภาคอุตสาหกรรม งานชิ้นนี้มุ่งวิเคราะห์ต้นแหล่งของการใช้พลังงานเพิ่มขึ้นในภาคอุตสาหกรรมของไทย โดยอาศัยวิธีแยกองค์ประกอบการใช้พลังงานที่พัฒนาขึ้นโดย Sun (1998) จากการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลช่วงปี พ.ศ.2536-2548 พบว่า การขยายตัวผลผลิตของภาคอุตสาหกรรมเป็นสาเหตุสำคัญที่ทำให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยมีการใช้พลังงานเพิ่มขึ้น ขณะที่การเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างการผลิตภายในภาคอุตสาหกรรม และการเปลี่ยนแปลงความเข้มข้นการใช้พลังงานที่สะท้อนถึงประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงาน มีส่วนทำให้การใช้พลังงานในอุตสาหกรรมเพิ่มขึ้นเล็กน้อย รัฐบาลควรดำเนินมาตรการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงาน ซึ่งจะช่วยลดต้นทุนการผลิตในภาคอุตสาหกรรม รักษาระดับการเจริญเติบโตของประเทศ และรักษาความสามารถการแข่งขันในตลาดโลกได้

Abstract

Energy consumption in Thailand has been increasing continuously since the 1980s, especially in the industrial sector. This study identifies the sources of energy consumption increase in the industrial sector during 199 - 00 . The analysis applies the energy consumption decomposition method suggested by Sun 1998 . The results indicate that the activity effect was the major source of increase while the structural effect and intensity effect, representing energy consumption efficiency, played a minor role in energy consumption increase. A policy to improve energy use efficiency is needed; it would reduce energy consumption and sustain the country's economic growth as well as maintain the competitiveness of Thailand's industrial sector in global market.
