การศึกษานี้ ตรวจวัดระดับความตระหนักของชุมชนในการใช้ทรัพยากรป่าไม้ในเขตพื้นที่ลุ่มน้ำแม่สาตอนบน จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยใช้มาตรวัดความตระหนักในการใช้ทรัพยากรป่าไม้ รวมถึงศึกษาหาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความตระหนักโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์เส้นทางความสัมพันธ์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ทั้งชาวไทยพื้นเมืองและชาวเขาเผ่าม้งมีความตระหนักในการใช้ทรัพยากรป่าไม้อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง จากการวิเคราะห์เส้นทางความสัมพันธ์พบว่า ความรู้ด้านทรัพยากรป่าไม้เป็นปัจจัยที่มีผลทางตรงต่อความตระหนักของชาวเขาเผ่าม้ง ณ ระดับความเชื่อมั่นทางสถิติร้อยละ 95 แต่สำหรับกลุ่มชาวไทยพื้นเมืองพบว่า ทั้งความรู้ด้านทรัพยากรป่าไม้และการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมด้านป่าไม้มีผลทางตรงต่อความตระหนัก ณ ระดับความเชื่อมั่นร้อยละ 99

Abstract

This study examined the level of community awareness of forest resource utilization in the upperMae Sa Watershed, Chiang Mai Province, using the forest resource utilization awareness scale. Itincluded the investigation of factors affecting the forest resource utilization awareness using pathanalysis. The results show that both indigenous Thai people and Hmong people (an ethnic group inthe mountainous northern regions of Thailand) had a moderate level of forest resource utilizationawareness. Meanwhile, the path analysis shows that the Hmong's knowledge of forest resourcedirectly affected their awareness, at the statistical confidence level of 95 percent. For the indigenousThais, their knowledge of forest resource and attendance of forest activities directly affected theirawareness, at the confidence level of 99 percent.
