About the Journal
Aim and scope
Asia-Pacific Journal of Science and Technology (APST) is an international peer-reviewed journal. The journal accepts English-language manuscripts of original research and review articles that have never been published elsewhere and employs a double-blind review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.
APST welcomes contributions from researchers, scientists, and academics in engineering, science, and technology fields. The journal aims to publish work that leads to creative practical applications, environmental preservation, and human well-being, while also fostering global collaboration across various disciplines. All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure quality and validity. APST encourages innovative and original research papers, as well as those that contribute to the development of engineering, science, technology, agricultural science, health science, and other related fields. The research areas covered by the journal include but not limited to:
- Engineering Sciences: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Aerospace Engineering

Types of Published Articles
APST is published either as a research article or a review article.
- Research articles: report original research findings in engineering science, technology, agricultural science, health science, and other related science and technology. The research article should include a clear research question, methodology, results, and conclusion. The article should also provide a clear and concise discussion of the research findings, their implications, and their contributions to the relevant field of study. APST does not accept survey or questionnaire-based studies, prospective observational studies, and case studies unless they demonstrate significant impact on community or industry.
- Review articles: comprehensively review the existing literature on a specific topic in engineering science, technology, agricultural science, health science, and other related science and technology. Review articles should critically analyze and synthesize the literature, identify knowledge gaps, and suggest future research directions. The format and length of review papers are more flexible than research articles.
All published articles in APST should be based on rigorous and ethical research and adhere to the highest standards of scientific integrity. The journal encourages the submission of articles that present innovative and original research and contribute to developing new theories, methodologies, and techniques.

Journal History
The journal was originally entitled “KKU Research Journal (KKU RES J)”, and was established in 1996 by Khon Kaen University. It is aimed at promoting research produced by Thai universities in a broad range of fields such as pure science, mathematics, agricultural science, engineering science, technology, and health science. The journal initially published both Thai and English research and review articles. In 2014, the journal began only accepting English manuscripts in order to promote research from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. Since then, its main publication focus has been on research that integrates multiple fields or subfields. The journal has been renamed the “Asia-Pacific Journal of Science and Technology (APST)” so as to attract more international readers and authors. As an open-access journal, APST has since used an article identifier (article ID) instead of the traditional page numbers.
