Main Article Content
Abstract
The participation is an important factor for elderly club management in which the elderly club
members are encouraged to participate in various activities. The Quasi -Experimental Research was designed
to identify and compare knowledge and participation level as well as the satisfaction of the elderly club
members in Kokjaroen, Lopburi Province. The AIC and Koontzûs managerial process (POSDC) were used in
this study. A total of 51 members in an experimental group and 54 members in the comparative group were
purposively selected from elderly club members and subjected to data collection by interviewing before and
after the experiment during August 2008 until November 2008. It was found that the members of the
experimental group after the experiment had gained more knowledge about elderly club implementation than
before experiment at medium level which is more than the comparative group with (p< 0.05). Members of the
experimental group were also found to participate in elderly club implementation for overall ranging from
medium to high level. Their knowledge and participation levels were significantly higher in the experiment
group than the comparative group with (p< 0.05). The high level of satisfaction was also found for overall, and
result of management.
