A study of educational management model for teachers professional development

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to synthesize the educational management model for developing the teaching profession, to study the educational management model for devel- oping the teaching profession in upper Northeast- ern region, and to develop the teaching profes- sion according to related circumstances. The 150 persons of purposive sampling group consisted of teachers from Kalasin Educational Service Area Of ce 2, Khon Kaen Educational Service Area Of ce 5, and Nongbualampoo Educational Service Area Of ce 1. The data collecting was conducted by the 4-step process of research and development consisting of

1) Study and synthesize the educational management model for developing the teach- ing profession utilizing the relevant data and research studies,

2) Study the teachers’ opinions relating to the synthesis of educational management model for developing the teaching profession,

3) Analyze the con rmatory factor using the proportional analysis created by the testing statistics, so-called, Chi-square, and verify the model by using the seminar based-group of professionals known as Connoisseurship, and

4) Evaluate and improve the developed model.

This research is summarized that

1) The data synthesis of the educational management model for developing the teaching profession results in 5 models; Workshop using School –based Management(SBM), Instructional Module, Web-base Instructional, Training by Set- ting Network Group, Obtaining the Extra Credits after Completing the Training Course Successfully for the Purpose of Transferring to Master Degree Program

2) The survey found that teachers’ opinions in upper Northeastern region (62.24 %, n = 89, N = 143) mostly agreed with model 1(Workshop using School –based Management)

3) According to the result in the analysis of con rmatory factor using the proportional analysis(Chi-square), it was found that there were 80% of teachers agreeing with the model and at least 94.63 % of them who agreed with all models. Moreover, from the result in the seminar based-group of professionals covering the relevant national and regional levels, it was found that the workshop using School-based management (SBM) under the appropriate action of research process consisted of 4 steps; Plan- ning, Processing, Supervising & Following up, and Improvement & Development.
