Abstract

Impacts of climate change on crop production systems decision support system tool was developed, under funding support from the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) and the International Consortium for Agricultural Systems Applications (ICASA). The CropDSS tool allows users to link four spatial databases; namely, administrative, crop planted areas, soil boundary, and climate grid maps with four crop simulation models in DSSAT (Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer). The models have been extensively tested in Thailand, requires a minimum data sets of climate data such as solar radiation, temperature, and rainfall. Users may use CropDSS program to study the impacts of climate change on agricultural systems in an integral approach.
