Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to develop an e-mail newsletter system for the web site of the Central Regional Institute for Non-formal and Informal Education, 2) to study the click rate of the email system and 3) to identify the satisfaction level of the members towards the e-mail system. The sample was 692 e-mail members selected by a simple random sampling technique. The results of the research were as follows. The e-mail newsletter system worked as expected. The click rate was 21.41 per cent. Most email letters were clicked on Monday. Most email letters were clicked 1 to 2 days after they were sent. Most members were male private company employees, aged between 20-29 years old with 1-3 years of computer experience. Most of them had one e-mail account. Most of them checked their e-mail on a daily basis; therefore their e-mail accounts never got suspended nor expired. The overall satisfaction level of the members was at a high level.
