Dependence of the performance of epidemiological surveillance team of health centers on the administration of the south zone districts of Khon Kaen province

Abstract

This study was based on cross-sectional descriptive research. The purposes of this study were to study effects of personal factor, management factor and management process on the performance of surveillance teams of health centers on the administration of the south zone districts of Khon Kaen province. The population of this study was 45. Data were collected by using questionnaires and focus group, which were carried out during December 20, 2010 – January 10, 2011 and disseminated by statistic value, percentage, mean, standard deviation, median, maximum, minimum, Pearson’s coefficient and multi-stage regression analysis. Results showed that the factors affecting performance of surveillance teams of health centers on the administration of the south zone districts of Khon Kaen province at the significant level of 0.05 were commanding, controlling and experience or training of performance of surveillance. These three factors could together predict performance of surveillance teams of health centers on the administration of the south zone districts of Khon Kaen province at the percentage of 56.4.
