Abstract

      This action research study aimed to develop Thai traditional medicine services at Tambon Khao Phra Ngam Health Center in Amphur Muang, Changwat Lop Buri. The sample used in this study consisted of 2 groups. The first group was a group of 207 people who did not receive the Thai traditional medicine services at Khao Phra Ngam Health Center. Data were collected using a questionnaire on the reason why the respondents did not come to use the service and what an appropriate guideline was for providing services to meet the needs of service users. The second group was a group of 48 users of Thai traditional medicine services at Khao Phra Ngam Health Center. Data were collected using a rating-scale questionnaire on satisfaction before and after Thai traditional medicine service development. The statistics used for analyzing the collected qualitative data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and paired sample t-test.


      The study findings revealed that after Thai traditional medicine service development, the number of service users increased. Also, the service users showed significantly higher satisfaction as a whole with Thai traditional medicine services than before development (p < 0.05).
