Abstract

 The purposes of this research were to study desirable competencies, indicators, and assessment criteria of pharmaceutical technique students and to develop an evaluation model. The research was carried out in two phases. Phase 1 was to study desirable competencies, indicators, and assessment criteria. The samples consisted of 15 experts and 443 associated persons. The data collecting instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using index of item objective congruence, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Phase 2 was to develop an evaluation model. The samples consisted of 7 heads of pharmaceutical technique courses and 10 experts. The data collecting instruments was a questionnaire and data were analyzed by using mean and standard deviation. The research findings revealed 4 competencies and 20 indicators. The assessment criteria were at least 70% to indicate that students had passed the assessment. The evaluation model included 5 components, which were goal of the evaluation, evaluation objects, indicators and assessment criteria, method of evaluation, and feedback provision
