Factors affecting the development of Thailand international public sector standard management system and outcomes, P.S.O. 1101, at district health offices in Khon Kaen province(Thai)

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: (1) study the current situation, problems and needs of the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 at District Health Offices in Khon Kaen Province, (2) compare the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 scores between groups of male and female personnel, (3) compare the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 scores between groups of health personnel with different ranks, and (4) study the factors affecting the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101. The population of this research consisted of 155 health personnel in District Health Offices. One hundred and nineteen health personnel were selected by systematic random sampling. Data were collected by Questionnaire between January and March 2004. The results of study were: (1) there was no statistically significant no difference between the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 scores of male and female groups at the 0.5 level, (2) there was a statistically significance difference between the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 scores of groups health personnel with different ranks at the 0.5 level, (3) three variables of the process of Administration, Planning, Organizing and Evaluation, influenced the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 and also could explain the development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101 in 49.9% of cases. In conclusion, stakeholders, should focus on the position of health personnel who are directly responsibilities for P.S.O., and also Planning, Organizing and Evaluation should be emphasized for the Development of Thailand P.S.O. 1101.
