การสอนเพื่อการแก้ปัญหาการอ่านไม่ออกเขียนไม่ได้

Abstract

ในปัจจุบันเด็กไทยประสบปัญหาการอ่านไม่ออกเขียนไม่ได้เป็นจำนวนมาก จึงเป็นวาระเร่งด่วนที่ทุกฝ่าย ต้องรีบแก้ไขเพื่อ “ตัดไฟแต่ต้นลม” ก่อนที่จะวิกฤติมากเกินกว่าการเยียวยาแก้ไข คงถึงเวลาแล้วที่จะนำปัญหา ดังกล่าวมาวิเคราะห์ทบทวน เพื่อหาสาเหตุที่แท้จริง พร้อมทั้ง หาแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาให้ตรงจุดกันอย่างจริงจัง และต่อเนื่องบทความนี้ผู้เขียนได้หยิบยกเอาแนวทางการสอนอ่านเขียนภาษาไทยและวิธีการแก้ปัญหาการอ่านไม่ออก เขียนไม่ได้จากนักการศึกษา นักคิดนักเขียนและครูผู้สอนมาเขียน เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการนำไปปฏิบัติและประยุกต์ ใช้ในการเรียนการสอนได้อย่างเหมาะสม ได้แก่ การสอนอ่านเขียนภาษาไทยด้วยวิธีโฟนิกส์ (Phonics) หรือการสอน แบบแจกลูกสะกดคำ การสอนตามแนวธรรมชาติ (Natural Approach) โดยส่วนใหญ่การสอนตามแนวธรรมชาติ จะได้รับความนิยมและถูกนำมาเป็นแบบอย่างและทดลองใช้ในโรงเรียนหลายแห่ง รวมทั้ง มีการพัฒนาการสอน แบบบูรณาการ โดยนำเอาการสอนตามแบบธรรมชาติกับการสอนตามวิธีโฟนิกส์มาผสมผสานเข้าด้วยกัน เรียกว่า การสอนแบบสมดุลภาษา (Balanced Literacy) และได้นำไปทดลองใช้ซึ่งได้ผลดีกว่าเดิม จึงได้มีการเสนอวิธีการสอน แบบสมดุลภาษามาประยุกต์ในการสอนภาษาไทยให้กับนักเรียนโดยครูผู้สอนตะต้องมีความยืดหยุ่นในการสอนและ เอานักเรียนเป็นศูนย์กลาง (Student - Centered) คิดหาวิธีที่จะทำให้นักเรียนมีความสามารถ ในการอ่านมากยิ่งขึ้น

Nowadays, many Thai children are facing illegible problem which is an urgent case all parties who concerned have to be in a hurry to solve it in order to nip something in the bud before this crisis becomes too serious to remedy. It is probably time to raise the mentioned issue to analyze as well as to review in order to find root causes and ways how to solve the problem in the exact point seriously and continuously. In this article, the author has singled out approaches how to teach Thai reading and writing and solution methods of illegible problem from educators, thinkers, authors and teachers using as an approach of implementation and application for teaching appropriately including teaching Thai reading and writing by using the phonic teaching method or the practice book for spelling words and Natural Approach. The Natural Approach is mostly popular used as a model and experimented at several schools. In addition, there is a development of an integrated teaching; a combination of Natural Approach and the phonic teaching method called Balanced Literacy which is experimented and the result is more effective than the first one. Thus, it is proposed that Balanced Literacy should be applied to teach Thai for pupils. Teachers should be flexible while teaching, focus on pupils as the most important thing and figure out a way to make them much more capable of reading.
