Causal Factors Affecting Knowledge Management and Individual Performance of Government Agencies in the Prime Minister’s Office

Abstract

This article intends to: 1. study the causal factors affecting the knowledge management of government agencies in the prime minister's office; and 2. model the causal factors affecting the management of knowledge and individual performance of government agencies in the prime minister's office. The research model is using concepts from technology, organizational structure, bureaucratic culture, knowledge management, and individual performance as a research framework. This study was both quantitative and qualitative. There are two types of research instruments. First, data is collected through interviews and online questionnaires. Second, descriptive statistics and structural equation model statistics are applied to the data. The results showed that

  1. Factors such as technology, organization structure, and bureaucratic culture affect the knowledge management of government agencies in the Office of the Prime Minister.
  2. A model of causal factors revealed that knowledge management affects the individual performance of government agencies within the prime minister's office.

These findings provide a causal model and instrument for analyzing government agency knowledge management and individual performance. It can help people who are interested in the growth of government agencies, especially in the area of knowledge management. It can also suggest a government action plan for the future that explains the strategy and performance of the organization.
