A Comparative Analysis of Safety Management in Educational Institutions under Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to study the current state of safety management in educational institutions, 2) to compare safety management in educational institutions by size, and 3) to propose guidelines for the development of safety management. The sample group was 118 schools affiliated to the Sukhothai Primary Education Area Office, District 2, and the data providers were 236 administrators and teachers.

           The results showed that the overall safety management was at a high level. The building safety facilities are at the highest level. In terms of disaster management, there was a significant difference at the .05 level, with large schools having the best management level, followed by medium and small schools having the lowest level. The results of the in-depth interviews proposed a development approach in the form of an "SPT Model" consisting of Standard (setting standards for emergency preparedness), Preparation (establishment of an ad hoc center), and Training (Emergency Response Plan Workshop).
