PHILOSOPHY OF ISAAN LIFESTYLE VALUES IN 4.0 ERA: LUNAR FESTIVAL AND FOURTEEN LAWS

Abstract

         This article aims at the philosophy of the Isaan Lifestyle Values in 4.0 Era by using the Heet-Kong (Lunar Festival and Fourteen Laws) as a case study. From the analysis, it was found that Heat-Kong is a very important practice for Isaan people which is a tradition that helps local communities to exist. Because it is a way of life that infuse of Buddhism principles mixed together. Practices that have existed since ancient times like this can perfectly adapt to the Isaan Lifestyle Values. Especially Isaan people in the 4.0 era, which is a modern era in all aspects. But the challenge of following the Heat-Kong caused by lack of time to participate in activities, lack of leaders in inheriting traditions, the adoption of foreign cultures to spread too much, and the role of members in society that change according to world values. Hence, using heat as a guideline in analyzing social problems is very appropriate because solving social problems with traditional wisdom in the age of technology is the most ingenious strategy. Reduce the conflict as much as possible and fits the lifestyle of the most local people. In this regard, the government sector may adopt this idea as a strategy for create unity, strategy for HeetKong’s Conservation, and strategy for local wisdom management. Therefore, this traditional HeetKong lifestyle can be a strategy for strengthening communities and maintain the HeetKong stay in the country and the nation firmly.
