DEVELOPMENT OF FEMINIST’S POLITICAL ROLES IN DONG LUANG SUB-DISTRICT, DONG LUANG DISTRICT, MUKDAHAN PROVINCE

Abstract

         This research article had a purpose to study the development of feminist’s political roles and guidelines for the development of feminist’s political roles in Dong Luang Sub-district, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province. This research was a quantitative research. The sample population were 59 people as follow: executives, government employees, village headman and sub-district headman in Dong Luang Sub-district, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province. The research tool was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean ( ) and standard deviation (S.D.).

         The results of the study found that 1) opinions on the development of feminist’s political roles in Dong Luang Sub-district, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province was at a high level. Once considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was the electoral aspect and the public expression aspect, then followed by the opinion expression aspect and the changing organizational culture aspect, and the aspect with the lowest average was the establishment and integration of interest groups aspect. 2) Guidelines for the development of feminist's political roles in Dong Luang Sub-district, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province found that (1) the electoral aspect, one should always exercise his right to vote when there is an election, (2) the opinion expression aspect, one should participate in the community forum of the sub-district when there is an opportunity, (3) the establishment and integration of interest groups aspect, one should be encouraged to form groups to do activities that benefit their groups, (4) the public expression aspect, one should participate in projects or activities organized by the municipality, and (5) the changing organizational culture aspect, one should join in pushing for the opportunity for people to express their opinions or complaints directly to government agencies.
