THE INFLUENCE OF PERCEIVED ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT ON WORK HAPPINESS OF PERSONNEL AT SAKON NAKHON RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract
This research article aimed to: 1) examine the levels of perceived organizational support and work happiness among personnel at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University; and 2) investigate the influence of perceived organizational support on work happiness among personnel at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. This study employed a quantitative research design within the context of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The sample consisted of 279 personnel. The sample size was determined using Yamane’s formula, and proportionate stratified random sampling was employed, comprising 131 academic personnel and 148 support personnel. The research instrument was a 39-item questionnaire. Content validity was assessed by five experts, and the overall reliability coefficient was 0.95. The statistics used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that: 1) the overall level of perceived organizational support among personnel was high, and all dimensions were also rated at a high level. Similarly, the overall level of work happiness was high, with all components rated at a high level. 2) Perceived organizational support had a statistically significant influence on work happiness at the .01 level and collectively accounted for 44.60 percent of the variance in work happiness (R² = .446). Job knowledge and career advancement opportunities had the strongest influence (β = .322, p < .01), followed by emotional support (β = .244, p < .01), work performance support (β = .219, p < .01), compensation and welfare (β = .158, p < .01), and job security (β = .131, p < .05), respectively.
