Abstract

              This research aims to 1.To compare the mean knowledge scores of nursing students before and after preparation before practicing in the mother and newborn nursing and midwifery practicum I by using a virtual simulation. 2. To study the satisfaction of nursing students after preparation before practicing in the mother and newborn nursing and midwifery practicum I by using a virtual simulation. and 3. To study the self-confidence of nursing students after preparing for the practice of mother and newborn nursing and midwifery practicum I by using a virtual simulation. The sample of this study  included 30 graduate nursing students in third-year at 24th, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Suphanburi who enrolled in the course of mother and newborn nursing and midwifery practicum I in the academic year 2020. The research instruments were 1) Pregnancy nursing knowledge test 2) Pre-practice satisfaction assessment form 3) Self-confidence assessment questionnaire for practical training. The statistics used were mean (gif.latex?\bar{x}), standard deviation (S.D.), and the dependent t-test. (t-test)

               The results of the research showed that 1 ) The students had higher scores on the knowledge of maternity care after preparing with the virtual simulations. The significant level of .05.  2) The students had a high level of satisfied with the preparation before practicing in mother and newborn nursing and midwifery practicum I by using a virtual simulation. ( gif.latex?\bar{x} = 4.46, SD = 0.54) 3) The students had a high level of self-confidence after preparing for the practice of mother and newborn nursing and midwifery practicum I by using a virtual simulation.  ( gif.latex?\bar{x} = 4.13, S.D. = 0.606)
