Abstract

This research has objectives to (1) compare learning achievement from the subject of Thai language on word types & functions, between teaching via cooperative learning techniques TGT and regular learning of the students at the 6th grade (2) compare learning achievement from the subject of Thai language on word types & functions, between before and after teaching via cooperative learning techniques TGT (3) compare learning achievement from the subject of Thai language on word types & functions, between before and after regular learning. The sample in this research consists of students from 2 classes of the 6th grade at Bueng Nong Bon Mosque School, acquired by Sample Random sampling, in 2nd semester of academic year 2020, due that the 2 classes are mixed with different ability of the students; good, moderate and poor, and the average scores from final exam of both classes on the subject of Thai language are similar. The classes were set as experimental group and control group, whereas 24 students in class 6/1 was the experimental one with cooperative learning techniques TGT, and 24 students in class 6/2 was the control one with regular learning. Research instruments includes (1) learning management plan of cooperative learning techniques TGT (2) learning management plan of regular learning (3) Learning Achievement Tests before and after learning Thai language. Data analysis is done via statistics analysis, mean (x), standard deviation (S.D.), t-test dependent and t-test independent.

The research findings are

1) Learning achievement from the subject of Thai language on word types & functions of teaching via cooperative learning techniques TGT is higher than regular learning of the students at the 6th grade, at statistical significance level of .05

2) Learning achievement from the subject of Thai language on word types & functions after teaching via cooperative learning techniques TGT is higher than before at statistical significance level of .05,

3) Learning achievement from the subject of Thai language on word types & functions after regular learning is higher than before, at statistical significance level of .05.
