The development in summary writing Skills for students in Prathomsuksa 5 By Using Plot Diagrams is an objective of this study to improve the summary writing skills of these students. The study selected 44 students of Prathomsuksa 5/6 from Chiyaphum kindergarten school in Chaiyaphum by using simple random sampling. The tools used in this research were learning management plans and reading comprehension achievement test, specifically for using plot diagrams. These tools had been inspected by experts using Item-Objective Congruence Index (IOC) technique, then equals 1.00. The statistics used in the research were mean , standard deviation (S.D.), compare pre-test and post-test scores using the dependent t-test.

The comparison of summary writing skills using plot diagrams between pre-test scores and post-test scores for students in Prathomsuksa 5 found that the post-test scores were higher than pre-test scores with a statistical significant of 0.5.
