Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the usage of words that appear in a 3 poetry books of Saksiri Meesomseub. The researcher has studied according to the criteria of Chamnan Rodhedphai. The results of the research were as follows:

            The usage of words that appeared in the poem "Tookata Roy Sai" (1983) found 13 types of words. Including: Foreign Word, Concrete Word, Spoken imitation word, Emotion word, Colloquial word, Onomatopoeia word, Honor Word, Abstract Word, Vulgar words, Connotation Word, Abbreviation Word, Technical Term Word and Dialect Word.  The most common was found Foreign Word, followed by a concrete word. "Khon Soi Daw" (1985) found 15 types of words. Including: Foreign Word, Emotion word, Onomatopoeia word, Technical Term Word, Connotation Word, Colloquial word, Honor Word, Abstract Word, Vulgar words, Concrete Word, Abbreviation Word, Spoken Imitation word, Jargon word, Slang word, and Dialect Word.  The most common was found Foreign Word, followed by an Emotion word. "Kor Por Jai Yark Cha Rak Hai Nak Naa" (1998) found 13 types of words. Including: Foreign Word, Emotion word, Honor Word, Connotation Word, Onomatopoeia word, Concrete Word, Abstract Word, Colloquial word, Vulgar words, Spoken Imitation word, Dialect Word and Abbreviation Word. The most common was found Foreign Word, followed by an Emotion word.
