การศึกษาและสร้างต้นแบบงานประติมากรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม ชุมชนบ้านปะโค อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดหนองคาย (The study and construction of sculpture prototypes derived from cultural heritage to promote cultural tourism in Pa Kho, Mueang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai.)

Abstract

The study and construction of sculpture prototypes derived from cultural heritage to promote cultural tourism in Pa Kho, Mueang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai was a qualitative research intended to 1) explore community identity of Pa Kho community 2) study the need for a prototype of community identity sculpture 3) design and construct a prototype of the sculpture. This study was conducted through qualitative research methods including survey, knowledge sharing, focus group discussion, informal interview, and study of the related documents. The key informants in informal interview and focus group discussion consisted of representative from government agencies, private sectors, communities and local scholars.

               The study revealed community identity in Pa kho was link to historic sites, architecture, legend, belief and natural attraction which are Wat Udomsappapol and the ancient budha, belief of Naga, the legend of U-sa barot and red lotus lake. The research proposed sculpture prototype of U-sa barot pier that integrates those community identities, to be used as an activity area and a community landmark.
