Political Participation of the People in the Election of Chief Executive and Members of the Provincial Administrative Organization: A Case Study of Sanam Khli Sub-District, Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province

Research on People's Political Participation in the Election of the President and Members of the Provincial Administrative Organization. The objectives of the research are: 1). To study the level of political participation of the people, and 2). To compare the political participation of the people in the election of the president and members of the Provincial Administrative Organization with a personal factors. This is a quantitative research using questionnaires as a tool to collect data on voters residing in Sanam Khli Sub-District, Muang District, Suphan Buri Province in 2020 at the amount of 400 people. Data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested by t-test, and one-way ANOVA or F-test.
The results showed that the level of political participation of the people was at the highest level toward the experience of exercising voting rights. the awareness of information about elections. The item with the lowest level of participation was knowledge and understanding of elections. For comparing the political participation of the people, it was found that the political participation of the voters as a whole had the value of Sig < 0.05 in 1 aspect that was is the payoff and the factors affecting the political participation of the people in the election were found that the overall value was at a high level ( = 4.078). The item with the highest level of participation was experience in suffrage. ( = 4.57). The item with the lowest level of participation was knowledge and understanding of elections. ( = 3.42).
