Factor Analysis Causing Female Inmates to Recommit in Substance Abuse Cases

Abstract

          The objectives of this article are to study the causes of crimes committed by female inmates who have repeatedly committed drug cases, as well as to establish guidelines for preventing the misconduct of female inmates It is a qualitative research methods. The tools in this study include: a survey to screen case studies and in-depth interviews, seven case studies, selected by purposive samplings from female inmates who were repeatedly challenged for drug cases and were imprisoned at the Federal Women's Correctional Institution, Analyzing data using content analysis techniques. The results of the research revealed that the motives that causing women to repeatedly commit crimes were drug-related which consist of the following 8 causes as follows: family, friends, economic condition, education, social condition, drug addiction, therapy, and mental state. These motivations lead to recommendations for a more concrete way to prevent wrong acts from children, young people, and women.
