Abstract

           The objectives of this research are: 1. to study the key factors causing crime problems in the area, 2. to study crime problems in the area, and 3. to present guidelines for preventing and solving crimes in the area of Metropolitan Police Division 5, Bangkok. This is a qualitative research method and collects data from 3 key-informants groups that are: Group 1, Police officers at the Metropolitan Police Division 5, Bangkok, Group 2, Offenders (criminals) or those who have committed crimes, and Group 3, Residents in the area under the responsibility of the Metropolitan Police Division 5, Bangkok. A specific sampling technique at a total of 20 people was used with a semi-structure interview tool. The researcher analyzed the data by relying on interpretations based on the data obtained from interviews.
