A Competency Development Model for Change Management Executives of Private Sector Organization in Thailand

Abstract

       The objectives of this research article were (1) to study the competency development for change management executives of private sector organization in Thailand; (2) to establish a model of competency development for change management executives of private sector organization in Thailand, and (3) to evaluate a model of competency development for change management executives in Thailand's private organization group. The methodology was (1) to study the concept of competency development for change management executives in Thailand by using semi-structured interviews with 15 major informants who were the executives of small, medium, and large private organizations; (2) to outline a model of competency development for change management executives in Thailand based on concepts and theories, relevant research results, and information that is obtained through interviews of important informants, and (3) to evaluate a model of competency development for change management executives in Thailand's private organization group by arranging a group discussion consisting of 12 experts to conduct an appropriate evaluation.  The results of the study revealed that a model of competency development for change management executives in Thailand's private organization group is concluded to 7 terms of elements of competency for change management executives in which they are (1) Strategic management (2) Team management
(3) Positive attitude (4) Work ethics (5) In-house knowledge management (6) Networking and (7) in Technology.
