The Implementation of the Royal Volunteer Spirit Project “We Do Good by Heart” in Don Muang Area

The main objectives of this study are: 1) to study the implementation problem of the Royal volunteer spirit project, "We do good deeds with the heart," 2) to study the process, coordination and cooperation of various parties involved in the implementation of the volunteer spirit project “We do good deeds with the heart,” and 3) to study the effect of the implementation of the volunteer project "We do good deeds with the heart." This is a qualitative research in which data were collected by using the interviews with 20 key-informants who live in Don Mueang area. There are 5 soldiers, 5 district offices, 5 teachers, and 5 officers working at the Animal and Insect Control Units, Don Mueang, Communicable Disease Control Division. The data are analyzed in the descriptive manner.
The results showed that: 1) the implementation problems concern the factors in performing good deeds that must start with a building of a public mind from the childhood and should continue up to the adolescence and adulthood by relying on teachings and trainings from people and the environment. To promote a strong society with the potential to solve problems. Having the confidence in one's own abilities and unity. 2) For the processes, coordination and cooperation of various parties involved in the implementation of the volunteer spirit project, "We do good deeds with the heart," it was found that it can be performed at any age, especially in the childhood that is considered as a learning age by applying theoretical knowledge that is suitable for learners, focusing on learning to change the ideas and perspectives of the learners. Providing opportunities for self-reflection on helping others or doing the common goods, including setting guidelines for self-development to become a person with a volunteer spirit. 3) The results of the implementation of the volunteer project, “We do good deeds with the heart,” it was found that it affects oneself and society, that is, it makes oneself to feel happy and to have self-esteem, feeling that they are worthy of doing good deeds. For the social impact, it encouraged all members of the group to act as good citizens in which it was an important foundation that would help create peace and harmony in the society. This is to create awareness towards the environment and to create a decent consciousness among the public in the participation concerning cleanliness and public property.
