OPINIONS ON PEOPLE’S PARTICIPATION IN THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN OF PAK PHRAEK MUNICIPALITY, PAK PHRAED SUB-DISTRICT, MUEANG DISTRICT, KANCHANABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

         The purpose of this study was : 1) To study the level of people's participation in the development of Pak Phraek Municipality Development Plan, Pak Phraek Sub-district, Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province 2) problems and obstacles in people's participation in the preparation of the Pak Phraek Municipality Development Plan, Pak Phraek Sub-district, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. The sample group includes People in the municipality of Pak Phraek Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. The sample group consisted of people in the municipality of Pak Phraek Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. A total of 400 people, using the questionnaire as a collecting tool, were able to summarize the results, discuss the results and make recommendations as follow :

         The results of the research were found that 1) People's participation in the development of Pak Phraek Municipality Development Plan, Pak Phraek Sub-district, Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province. overall was at a moderate level. When considering each aspect, it was found that participation in operations was followed by participation in decision-making. And the aspect of participation in the evaluation with the lowest mean 2) Problems, obstacles and recommendations of people who have public participation in the preparation of the development plan of Pak Phraek Municipality, Pak Phraek Sub-district, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province can be summarized as follows : The people did not understand how to prepare the development plan, so there were very few people participating. There is less time to prepare the development plan. When problems and needs are presented, they are not met. The community's opinions were not in the same direction, causing delays in the preparation of the plan. Suggestions : There is a public relations and the date and time to leave the community for the preparation of the development plan 1 week in advance. Bring the development plan that has been integrated with the community plan. No need to do it again. To establish a community in the preparation of development plans on holidays and at night. In preparing the development plan, the focus must be given to the people rather than the leaders. The scrutiny of the development plan must be as relevant as possible to the problems of the community as a whole.
