EFFECTIVENESS OF ROAD ACCIDENT REDUCTION MANAGEMENT OF BANG KHEN POLICE STATION TRAFFIC GROUP

Abstract

         The purposes of this study were: 1) To study the effectiveness of road accident reduction management of Bang Khen Police Station traffic group,  and 2) To study the effectiveness of road accident reduction management of Bang Khen Police Station traffic group. A sample group of 400 people was used in this study by using a questionnaire as a tool to collect the data.

         The results of the research were as follows: 1) Most of the respondents were males, totaling of 250 people, representing a 62.5%, and the rest was 150 females, representing 37.50%. They were aged between 21-25 years old, with an educationa of lower than a bachelor degree level. The sample group of 240 people, representing 60.00%, were employees, 240 people, and 20 persons were traders, or 5.00 %, respectively. 2) The overall value of environmental management based on the effectiveness of road accident reduction management, Bang Khan Police Station traffic group was at a high level (= 3.78). When considering each item, it was found that all items were at a high level starting from plans and strategies for preventing traffic ( = 3.80), then followed by manpower (= 3.79), and the materials and equipment (= 3.75), respectively. 3) The approaches to increase management and reduce road accidents of the Bang Khan Police Station traffic group included: 1) there should be guidelines for making road signs for officers working on road safety, 2) there shoud have a public relations upon road safety information, and 3) In terms of manpower, the personnel should be involved in performing duties.
