Administration Based on Good Governance: A Case Study of GoodGovernance Management of Hawker Stalls Along the sidewalk in PakKhlong Talat Area, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok

This article aims to: (1) study the current state of governance and management of hawker stalls, including problems and obstacles in hawker stall management in Pak Klong Talat area, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, (2) study the opinions and suggestions of those involved in good governance and management hawker stalls in Pak Klong Talad area, Phra Nakhon district, Bangkok, and (3) study the management model in good governance and the management of hawkers in the Pak Khlong Talat area, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. This is a qualitative research in which the in-depth interview is used. The interviews were conducted in person and by using Line Applications (Line). The key-informants included the director of Phra Nakhon District, head of municipal workers, municipal workers, seller, entrepreneur, and people at the total of 26 people. The results of the research revealed that in terms of good governance applied with the management of hawker stalls along the sidewalk in the Pak Khlong Talat area, it was considered successful. There must be a practicality by merchants, entrepreneurs, and the public. Even if traders disagree or agree, even if there are obstacles, the staff and traders have a nice conversation, and traders and operators must obey and follow the advice of the municipal officials. And traders must respect the rules of the government and the management of Bangkok. The staff must perform their duty strictly and fairly in order to make the organization orderly and to comply with the intention of adopting good governance in the management of hawker stalls along the sidewalk in the Pak Khlong Talat area, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok.
