Problems and Needs for the Assistance of Public Health in the City a Case Study of Pu Chao Saming Prai Saphan Poon Community, Don Mueang District, Bangkok

Abstract

         The purpose of this research was 1) to study the social housing characteristics of Chao Saming Prai Saphan Poon Community, Don Mueang District, Bangkok 2). to study the problems and needs for the assistance of the public health of people living in Pu Chao Saming Prai Saphan Poon Community, Don Mueang District, Bangkok. It is a survey Research. The data collection was carried out with the sample group used in the research, namely residents of Pu Chao Saming Prai Saphan Poon Community, Don Mueang District, Bangkok, amounting to 202 people and Stratified Random Sampling method was used. Data was collected using questionnaires and then the content validation was examined by 3 experts with the Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) checking in term of more than 0.5 (content validity is suitable). Data were analyzed using percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results indicate that: 1) Overall, the problems of social housing characteristics of Chao Saming Prai Saphan Poon Community were in the high level of need. It was found that the community had problems with drainage systems such as flooding, ponding, and sewage. There are problems with the odor generated by waste. There are problems with waste, such as improper waste disposal and insufficient garbage cans. Including the problem of unsafe living in the community is due to drug problems in the community. 2) Overall, the problems and needs for the assistance of the public health of people living in Pu Chao Saming Prai Saphan Poon Community were in the high level of need. In particular, the aspects of the need for government agencies to help and provide a health service in the community were at the highest level.
