Medical Lawsuit Management Model of Thailand with Interdisciplinary Science and Professionalism

Abstract

         In the inconsistency of the Law and the professional practice are problems in medical Lawsuit of Thailand. Although There are not many complaints statistics but affecting the professional work and public policy challenges This study is qualitative research from data processing, The real situation and social observation, analysis with Interdisciplinary research tool: 9 Process boxes Achievement Model for medical lawsuit analysis and synthesize policy alter natives of medical Lawsuit in Thailand. The results revealed 4 policy options: 1) Improve Consumer protection Act BE.2522 2) Improve Consumer Proceeding Act BE.2551 3) Drafting the Act on Protection of Public Health services and Medical Judicial Procedures and 4) Other policy options.  There are suggestions for management with establishment Remedy fund which State, Private hospitals and Medical Professional councils contributed on behalf of medical professional, its success depends on the government policies and relevant agencies. When they have recognized the important impact of the national public health system.
