Construction of International Chinese Teaching Practice Management System in the Epidemic Era – A Case Study of Undergraduate Program in Hengshui University

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a sudden challenge to the overseas Chinese teaching practice in the field of education as well as to the students’ practice of TCSOL majors in domestic universities. This article intends to focus on the multi-dimensional evolution process of students’ practical teaching mode since the establishment of the undergraduate program of TCSOL in Hengshui University in the past 13 years, and to elaborate on the curriculum construction, classroom forms, and the “Three Studies-Three Circles” system (learning, internship, and research) and other practical system construction aspects in the training program. This article also shares the experience of online internships, Chinese language + traditional Chinese medicine, and innovation & entrepreneurship platforms to promote the formation of an open, sustainable and continuously improving international Chinese teaching practice system among colleagues in this profession.
