The Participation in Maintaining the Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001 of Employees in an Information and Communication Technology Company

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study: 1) the level of social motivation, knowledge, attitudes, and participation in maintaining the quality management system standard ISO 9001 and 2) the influences of social motivation, knowledge, and attitudes on participation in maintaining the quality management system standard ISO 9001. Quantitative research, the sample was 234 of the information and communication technology company employees. Data were collected by questionnaires. Statistics used for data analysis consists of percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were: 1) Employees in the information and communication technology company had level of social motivation, knowledge, attitudes, and participation in maintaining the quality management system standard ISO 9001 were at a quite high level; and 2) social motivation and attitudes could jointly predict the participation in maintaining the quality management system standard ISO 9001 of employees in the information and communication technology company
