The Strategy of Quality Enhancement for Ban Nai Soi Community Learning Center Leading to Sufficiency Economy Village, Mae Hong Son Province

Abstract

This research aims 1) to evaluate the implementation standards used for monitoring Ban Nai Soi village, 2) to study the implementation procedure used in Sufficient Economy Village ’s model in Mae Hong Son province and Chiang Mai province, and 3) to set and examine the strategy of quality enhancement for Ban Nai Soi Community Learning Center leading to a Sufficiency Economy Village in the research has 3 steps as follows: Step 1: to evaluate the implementation standards used for monitoring Ban Nai Soi village. The study used focus group discussions by purposive sampling with a total of 32 informants. Study tools included workshop agenda notes and implementation evaluation were drawn from the analysis of data collected by using consensus. Step 2: to study the implementation procedure used in Sufficiency Economy Village’s model in Mae Hong Son province and Chiang Mai province. The selected study group was chosen by purposive sampling from 3 Sufficiency Economy villages with a total of 9 informants. The study tool used was a semi structured interview with data analysis and summary of interviews completed as essay writing. Step 3: to set and examine the strategy of quality enhancement for Ban Nai Soi Community Learning Center leading to a Sufficiency Economy Village in Mae Hong Son province. The study used focus group discussions by purposive sampling with a total of 12 informants. Study tools included workshop agenda notes by an Appreciation Influence Control (AIC) process which examined 4 qualifications including consistency, suitability, feasibility, and utility.


The study found that:


1. The outcome of monitoring the implementation standard for Ban Nai Soi village, Mae Hong Son province did not meet with 3 qualifications and 9 indicators. The outcome of the implementation procedure used in Sufficiency Economy Village.


2. Found completed all the implementation procedure for 4 standard qualifications and 23 indicators as well as had methodically implementation.


3. The examination’s outcome of the drafting the strategy of quality enhancement for Ban Nai Soi Community Learning Center Leading to Sufficiency Economy Village, Mae Hong Son province found that Ban Nai Soi village need to implementation for 4 strategies including 1) strategy to develop inter agencies coordination system; 2) strategy to build staff capacities; 3) strategy to develop a Sufficiency Economy Village philosophy information center at BNSCLC, and 4) strategy to develop a Community Learning Center toward community based learning. The results of the examination showed all strategies have met with consistency, suitability, feasibility, and utility standards as well as were consensus passed.
