Strategy of Food Safety Management in International Trade of Thai Food Seasoning Industry

Abstract

The purposes of research were 1) to study and analyze strategy of food safety management in international trade of Thai food seasoning industry, 2) to study the success factors of the practice of the strategy of food safety management in food production chains and Thai food seasoning industry standard system with international standard system, and 3) to give suggestions on strategy of food safety management for supporting and increasing the capacity of Thai food seasoning industry.


The researcher acquired data from relevant documentation and fieldwork through the process of qualitative research by in-depth interview on 3 target groups 1) the official, 2) entrepreneur, and 3) the farmer. From the research study, it was found that:


1. The strategy of food safety management in international trade of Thai food seasoning has the strength as the Twelfth National Economic and Social Development Plan (2017-2021), Thai food strategy (2017-2036) and Thai food to world strategy (2016-2021). The related government department has good vision and mission and the personnel have the skillful on the food safety.


2. The success factors of the practice of the strategy of food safety management in food production chains and Thai food seasoning industry standard system with international standard system are 1) the factors of goal and objective, 2) the factors of mission and capacity of organization, 3) the factors of public relation and promotion, 4) the factors of standard control and policy evaluation, 5) the factors of motivation for entrepreneur and farmers


3. The strategic approach is to support and the food production chains on safety food, to control hazardous chemical, and to promote biological substance continuously.


Suggestions:


The government and concerned department should develop the development processes of food safety management in international trade of Thai food seasoning industry as follows:


1. To promote and support the innovation development on Thai food seasoning industry.


2. To promote and support the awareness on food safety management in food production chains.


3. To give an important on the continuation of the policy especially the policy of Thai food to world.


4. To promote the cooperation of related departments.


5. To control the hazardous chemical and to promote the biological substance continuously.


6. To promote the agricultural products marketing continuously.
