Quality of Life of the Thai Buddhist Monks with Chronic Illnesses at Chaloemphrakiat 60 Phansa Nawamintarachini Hospital Ubon Ratchatani Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research is to study the quality of life, information
recognition for hospital admission, factors related with quality of life and
admission obstacles of the Thai Buddhist monks with chronic
illnesses at Chaloemphrakiat 60 Phansa Nawamintarachini Hospital
UbonRatchatani Province. Research methodology used Anthropology field
work. Data collection methods are participant observation and in-depth
interview in the research objectives then use the principle of event analysis
which not based on theoretical for analysis. The results showed that the
samples’s perception for the overall quality of life both the physical and
mental health get more worse but do not have cumulative stress. Most of the
samples receive information from their peers more than information from
government offices. Factors of journey and helper are related with quality of
life of the Thai Buddhist monks with chronic illnesses and the most obstacles
are inadequate specific physician and instruments, as a result they have to
move to other hospitals for treatment.
