People Satisfaction Towards Green Area Utilization of Rommani Thung Si Kan Park, Don Mueang, Bangkok

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine socio – economic characteristic in general data, satisfaction level and factors affecting people satisfaction towards green area utilization of Rommani Thung Si Kanpark, Don Muang, Bangkok. Data were obtained by gathering the designed questionnaire used for interviewing 379 persons who come to the green area utilization of Rommani Thung Si Kan park, Don Muang, Bangkok during June - August 2023. Statistical analysis methods employed for testing the hypothesis were t-test and One-Way Anova or F-test with the given statistical significance level at 0.05 (p-value = 0.05).

The results of this study indicated that the most of the respondents were male 53.83 % and women 46.17 % with the average age of 38.10 years. Their educational level was at Bachelor's degree. Government officer/State enterprise employees were their major occupation with an average annual household income per month was at 27,917.31 baht. Their domiciles were in Don Mueang district. Their objectives of green area utilization were walking-jogging for their exercise, green area utilization with group of friends, having experience in green area utilization and shady trees were the motivation interesting point. People was satisfaction towards green area utilization of Rommani Thung Si Kan park, Don Mueang, Bangkok at the high level with an average score of 4.05 with classified as (1) satisfaction in environmental and area management was at the high level with an average score of 3.86, and (2) satisfaction in personnel and service were at the highest level with an average score of 4.33. Factors affecting people satisfaction towards green area utilization of Rommani Thung Si Kan park, Don Mueang, Bangkok were age, monthly income, their domicile, objectives of green area utilization, green area utilization in groups and having experience in green area utilization.
