Opinions on the Success Factors of the Ban Nong Samran Production Savings Group Village 8, Non Kho Subdistrict, Non Khun District, Sisaket Province

Abstract

            This research aimed to 1) study opinions on success factors of the Ban Nong Samran Production Savings Group, Moon 8 of Non Kho Subdistrict in Non Khun District of Sisaket Province, and 2) study management approaches to group success. This research was a mixed-methods study. The sample consisted of 143 savings group members, and the target group consisted of 9 members in total, 2 members from each of the 4 groups as the chairperson and 2 members from each group. The research instruments included questionnaires and interview forms. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, and standard deviation, and an interview form on management approaches. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The research results found that:

1. The overall opinion on the success factors of the group was at a high level, with group management being the most successful, followed by promoting savings values, leadership characteristics, member unity, and member participation, respectively. 2. Management approaches leading to the group's success include operations in accordance with the regulations of the Community Development Department, election of a committee by members, which promotes transparency and confidence, a clear and fair capital management system, investment to generate income, such as community shops, and human resource management based on Fayol's management concept, including the use of the principles of good governance in management, resulting in the group being evaluated at a very good level.
