Abstract

The current global environmental problems, such as garbage disposal, global warming, air pollution, and so on, that directly and indirectly affect human life raise concern and awareness on the importance of environmental protection among consumers who are Modern Ethical Millennial women. This has led to a change in the consumption behaviors of these fashion consumers, who tend to support brands that focus on eco-friendly and sustainable design solutions. This study aims to (1) analyze the dressing style and consumption behavior of modern ethical millennial women and (2) design a fashion collection consisting of 5 prototype outfits. The study found that (1) Modern Ethical Millennial women demand party wear fashion products with knitting techniques, are concerned about environmental issues, are accustomed to zero waste, and tend to buy zero-waste fashion products. (2) Zero waste concept can be used to design a fashion collection of party wear, using the knitting technique inspired by abstract landscape modernism art concept.  (3) The fashion collection of 5 prototype outfits is designed based on the findings of this study.
