บทบาทและสถานะของชุมชนชาวเวียดนามในประเทศไทย: กรณีศึกษาชุมชนชาวเวียดนามในจังหวัดอุดรธานี

บทความเรื่องบทบาทและสถานะของชุมชนชาวเวียดนามในประเทศไทย: กรณีศึกษาชุมชนชาวเวียดนามในจังหวัดอุดรธานี นี้สามารถเป็นเอกสารอ้างอิงที่ทรงคุณค่ากับงานวิจัยด้านชุมชนชาวเวียดนามในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ได้ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในยุคปัจจุบัน บทความนี้ศึกษาถึงการพัฒนาและสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้กับชุมชนในระยะ 70 ปีที่ผ่านมา พร้อม ๆ กับการธำรงรักษาความภาคภูมิใจในต้นกำเนิดและตระหนักในการรักษาคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมของประเทศเวียดนาม ซึ่งสามารถเห็นได้ชัดเจนในกรณีชุมชนชาวเวียดนามที่จังหวัดอุดรธานี โดยเฉพาะบทบาทสำคัญในการเชื่อมโยงด้านเศรษฐกิจ การเมือง วัฒนธรรมกับการพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์หุ้นส่วนยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่างสองประเทศ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1998 ภายหลังพลเอกชาติชาย ชุณหะวัณ ดำรงตำแหน่งนายรัฐมนตรีของไทย ซึ่งประกาศนโยบาย “เปลี่ยนสนามรบเป็นสนามการค้า”
