Evaluation of the Research Skill Development Program for Chinese Postgraduate Students' Thesis Writing at Payap University, Chiang Mai

Abstract
This research aims 1) to evaluate the project on developing research skills for thesis writing for Chinese graduate students of Payap University, Chiang Mai Province using the CIPP Model and 2) to study the satisfaction with the project. This research used a mixed-methods approach, both quantitative and qualitative. The sample for the quantitative research was 103 Chinese graduate students who participated in the project, selected by simple random sampling. The sample for the qualitative research was 4 representatives of ISC and GUFL faculty members and 8 Chinese graduate students, totaling 12, selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments were a satisfaction questionnaire, a semi-structured interview form, and a document analysis form. The results of the study found that in terms of context, there was preparation of infrastructure, atmosphere, and facilities that were suitable for international students, including effective public relations of the project. In terms of input factors, there was allocation of experienced and highly qualified human resources, modern teaching media, and processes. In terms of processes, work processes were adjusted to be flexible, learning that focused on students was systematically organized by combining the concepts of PBL and Andragogy, including a variety of extra-curricular activities to develop students' potential in all aspects. In terms of outputs, there was cooperation with various agencies both inside and outside the university. The project participants were highly satisfied overall.
