คำยืมภาษาอังกฤษในภาษาลาว

Abstract

 บทคัดย่อ

 ภาษาอังกฤษในฐานะที่เป็นภาษาสากลเข้ามามีบทบาทต่อภาษาต่าง ๆ ทั่วโลก รวมถึงภาษาการรับเอาคำยืมภาษาอังกฤษเข้าสู่สังคมลาวนั้นเกิดจากการต้องการใช้คำในการสื่อสารของสังคมลาวที่มีความเจริญและการขยายตัวทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างรวดเร็ว  อย่างไรก็ตามยังไม่มีงานทางด้านภาษาศาสตร์ที่อธิบายปรากฏการณ์การยืมภาษาหรือการยืมคำภาษาอังกฤษเข้ามาในสังคมลาวในสภาพสังคมปัจจุบันของลาว  คำยืมภาษาอังกฤษที่เข้ามาสู่สังคมลาวย่อมเกิดการปรับแต่งคำศัพท์ การออกเสียง และการเขียนคำศัพท์  ภาษาลาวไม่ได้มีระบบการเขียนหรือการออกเสียงคำยืมภาษาอังกฤษอย่างเป็นมาตรฐาน ดังนั้น จึงมีการเขียนสะกดคำยืมเหล่านี้ที่ยังไม่เป็นระบบและเกิดความแตกต่างกัน ซึ่งเป็นผลจากการรับเข้ามาอย่างรวดเร็วให้ทันกับการใช้  ปัจจัยหลักของการรับคำยืมภาษาอังกฤษเข้าสู่ภาษาลาวนั้นเกิดจากการขยายตัวของภาคเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนาสังคม การสื่อสารและเทคโนโลยี  อิทธิพลจากคำยืมภาษาอังกฤษในภาษาไทย การรับวัฒนธรรมสากล และการศึกษา ซึ่งปัจจัยดังกล่าวส่งผลต่อสังคมลาวทั้งการรับคำยืมและการใช้คำยืมอย่างแพร่หลายในสังคมลาวปัจจุบัน

 Abstract

          English language as international language plays an important role into languages around the world including Lao language. Importing English loanwords into Laos is communicational necessary of Laos society where rapidly expand in economic and social development.  Linguistic researches which explain English borrowing or loanwords phenomena, however there is not much in present. English loanwords are adapted their words, pronunciation, and writing into Lao language and effect unavoidably to writing and speaking systems of Lao language. In the present time the rule of English loanword writing has not been standard so the English loanword writing is unsystematically and differently. This results from fast receive loanwords into society. The key factors of loanword borrowing into Lao society are economic enlargement and social development, communication and technology, borrowing English loanwords from Thai, international cultures, and education. These factors reflect into Laos both coming of loanwords and its wide use.
