Publication Ethics

Responsibilities of Authors

1.1) Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and has not been previously published elsewhere.

1.2) Authors must report research findings accurately, without data fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation.

1.3) Authors must properly cite and reference sources when using the work of others in their manuscript. A complete reference list should be included at the end of the article.

1.4) Authors must ensure that their manuscript is free from plagiarism by using reliable plagiarism detection software before submission.

1.5) Authors must adhere to the formatting and submission guidelines outlined in the “Instructions for Authors.”

1.6) All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and manuscript preparation.

1.7) Authors must disclose any funding sources that supported their research (if applicable).


Responsibilities of the Journal Editors

2.1) Editors are responsible for assessing the quality of submitted manuscripts for publication in the journal, ensuring that they meet internationally recognized academic standards.

2.2) Editors must maintain confidentiality and not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to unauthorized individuals during the review process.

2.3) Editors will select manuscripts for publication based on their significance, novelty, clarity, and alignment with the journal’s scope and policies.

2.4) Editors must avoid conflicts of interest with authors, reviewers, or the editorial team.

2.5) If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the editors will halt the review, contact the authors for clarification, and determine whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected.


Responsibilities of Reviewers

3.1) Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose any part of the submitted manuscript to unauthorized individuals during the peer review process.

3.2) If a reviewer identifies a conflict of interest with the authors (e.g., they are research collaborators, personally acquainted, or have other conflicts that could affect objectivity), they must inform the editor and decline the review.

3.3) Reviewers should assess manuscripts in their area of expertise by evaluating the importance of the content, the quality of analysis, and the depth of research. Personal opinions without supporting evidence should not influence the review process.

3.4) If reviewers identify any overlap or duplication with previously published work, they must notify the editor immediately.


Consequences of Plagiarism or Duplicate Submission

If the editorial board of the Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, detects plagiarism or unauthorized duplication of an author’s or another’s work, or if data has been falsified or misrepresented, the manuscript will be immediately withdrawn from the review process and retracted. The editorial team will notify the author of the rejection.
