Abstract

Abstract

                 Public mind or volunteerism should be morality and ethics of everyone in society because it means people who think of other people and benefits of society rather than thinking about yourself and desire others to be happy and make society peaceful. However, it seems morality and ethics is disappearing; especially, among the youth due to many reasons such as focusing on modern communication technology, social and economic conditions, etc. This academic article has objective to propose public mind situation in Thai Society, social impact of lacking public mind and stimulate involved social institutions which are family, education, religion and mass media help together to promote public mind to exist in society. The author proposes four methods to promote youth’s public mind; youth leaders are driving the campaign because they understand youth, they can encourage youth to participate in public mind development activities, planning and implementing appropriate campaigns with realizing of diverse youth groups and different backgrounds, using of new media to promote public mind among youth which they can access to this media most and the youth group is organized by the youth themselves, it can attract more youth to participate in the activities than organizing by other groups.
